Wish I had known before the weekend, would have brought my walkie-talkies in for y'all to use!  I'm afraid I will have to be at work on Thursday.....~

If the range is within 3km, you don't need a very fancy pair of w-t at all, very basic will do it.  we use them at the lake, in the bush, and they carry very well for about 2-3km.

Problem is I have no idea how much they cost... google Toys "r" us, I would be surprised if they didn't have any.

The great thing about walkie-talkies is that all you have to do is press a button to talk into and release it to listen.
