Hello all..I got the opportunity to go up on the old phone building today and took some photos of the family..Mom and Dad were just perched on the McKenzie building and a young one must  have known a camera was around because he popped up on the lower McKenzie building....:)

Not much movement by any other than Zeus and he was hunting, brought his meal back to the building and when he was done, there were leftovers, HE STASHED THEM ON A LEDGE!!! I didn't know that Peregrine's stashed their leftovers.  I have learned something new today.

Its called cacheing, and all birds do it, some more than others, some less.

All my birds do is make soup with their leftovers.

No TPC, those kids are laying low.  We have been trying to talk them into showing their puffaloons but they ain't cooperating.  Will keep trying tho.

She seems to be the biggest and you have to see the colour of her in the sun.  She really does glow gold!

Bird lover didn't tell you we were holding up traffic coming into parking lot behind Mckenzies. we were strolling down the middle of the lane when BL gives a little yelp,a hop, skip and a jump and gets over to the edge of the road and the man in a white car drives slowly by with a big grin on his face, I guess he knew what we were doing. At least he didn't toot the horn or we might have gone into orbit!!! Just after that we were dive bombed by Zeus so you see there's never a dull moment when you're out watching the Birdies, especially if they Peregrin Falcon Fledglings.

Hee Hee, I totally forgot about that.   :-[  He was very nice about it.  Just smiled and nodded.  HE DID SNEAK UP ON ME!!  It was too windy to hear a vehicle that was sneakin' up on me!!!  That's why the kids were hunkered down   ;D

Had another good day tripping around the buildings near Mckenzie building and environs, saw headless birds half eaten,we'll have to get those kids a fridge and keep the place clean or the powers that be will be charging it on their taxes. Saw all four chicks and both parents so as per the other posts we're all happy maybe even greatly elated.Bird lover didn't tell you we were holding up traffic coming into parking lot behind Mckenzies. we were strolling down the middle of the lane when BL gives a little yelp,a hop, skip and a jump and gets over to the edge of the road and the man in a white car drives slowly by with a big grin on his face, I guess he knew what we were doing. Thanks for the info and contact numbers TPC, now I can stop stewing about what to do if an adverse situation turns up and I'm around.

You call me and I'll walk you through it Rose!

My worry is that one of them will do something silly when no one is watching and we won't be able to get there in time   :-\

They are tough little birds, if something happens they will be waiting for rescue from someone, don't worry.  If something fatal does happen, chances are it wouldn't matter if you were there, when that happens they really are pretty much beyond help from anyone.  It sometimes makes you feel bad to put them through the stress of human contact (capture, vet exam, treatment, confinement, etc).

Just came from the downtown. Spent three hours there just watching.   My golden girl is so beautiful.  She is on the Scotia Bank building which is higher than the nest box!!!  Our boy was hanging out at the base of the tower on the McKenzie Seeds building and Rose and I could only see one other on the building to the north of the McKenzie Seeds building.  Zeus was hanging out with my golden girl on the SB building.  No Hurricane to be seen at all today.

Can you see the band number on your "golden girl"?  I'd like to be able to record the information ...

Not much movement by any other than Zeus and he was hunting, brought his meal back to the building and when he was done, there were leftovers, HE STASHED THEM ON A LEDGE!!! I didn't know that Peregrine's stashed their leftovers.  I have learned something new today.

Will see if the wind dies down this evening.  If it does, I will go back to see what is transpiring.  If not, it will be early tomorrow morning that I go.

I got to the parkade about 11:30 this morning. Zeus and Hurrican were on the clock tower, I didn't see any chicks. :o  So I walked the very west end of the parkade hoping I would see some from there. Still no chicks. But while I was there I saw a woman on the rooftop of the old MTS building who was taking pictures of Zeus and Hurricane.  Then I heard Zues screaming and he  was soaring around diving & swooping at her .8) He did this for about 5 minutes, then went back to the clock tower. She probably got some good photos. And still no chicks :( I went down to the street in front of McKenzie building, maybe I would see the chicks. Yay,  ;D I saw a chick on the annex building   and then I saw chick on top of the loading dock ;D (about 2 stories ) its a tunnel from one building to the other. The chick disappeared, so I went to the west side in the back lane and saw another chick up on the annex building ;D ;D.   Now It's getting close to 1pm.  Gotta meet Birdlover, so off I went to parkade.  Rose was there when I got back and we waited for her. We all went back down to the street and I showed them where I saw the chicks. We eventually saw all the chicks ;D ;D ;D   It was a very good day for all.
