Well, not as exciting a day as yesterday but exciting for me none the less.  Got to the parkade to see only one on the MTS tower and one on the lower roof of the McK building.  So, I went over to the very west side of the parkade and discovered another on the west side of the tower.

Now, sometimes it's good to go walkabout, and sometimes not.  This day was both!  I decided to take a walk around the block to see if any were hunkered down anywhere and when I got down on the west side of the MTS tower discovered another one.  So three on the tower and Fate was just behind me on the annex.

There must have been a feeding going on on top of the building that the MTS tower is on cuz everyone all of a sudden decided that was where they needed to be. Except for Fate, who flew directly at and then over me and landed on the very corner of the building between the McK building and the MTS tower building.  This was how I got to positively identify him.  He was as curious about me as I was of him.  :D

So, all are well.   YIPPEE!  I returned to the parkade roof and found Hurricane had landed on the Scotia building and Zeus was at the base of the clock tower.  One of the kids, and I'm thinking it was Luck, tried to fly to the Scotia building and was not getting the height that she needed and here I am saying, "c'mon, get up, get up.." and Hurricane swooped down off the ledge and got under her to get her back up and they circled around til Luck could get onto the McK building.  So, now I know what y'all are talking about when you say the adult gets underneath to help the fledgling get height.   Very cool to witness.  :o

Then as I was waiting for the bus I got to see Hurricane and Zeus play a bit in the air and touch talons.  Then everyone settled down for an afternoon nap.

Great day once again.  Last day for me tomorrow unless I can get down there on Monday somehow.  We have no buses on holidays so I get stuck at  home   >:(

I really would like to see a mid air transfer.  That is my goal for the next little while.     ;D

I would love to see that too  :)

I have a good feeling about this one.  We will see it happen.  8)

There really is nothing like watching a falcon soar, the joy, the wonder of it all...simple amazing!  Very glad you had a chance to witness this great time in the fledglings lives... ;D ;D

They will still be around for a few weeks yet, just a bit more elusive but they've still got lessons to learn.  Wait until you see them hunting for the first time and they succeed!

Great day for you birdlover ;D. Even though you report everything you see and feel, it just doesn't quite do it justice. The joy in your heart, the sounds in your head and the great big goofy, silly smile on your face - that's the treasure. And no matter how hard we try, words just don't live up to the moment.
I appreciate the updates so much, but feel the distance. And have such empathy for those who have to see the falcons only through our words. Don't know that I could do that. Cheers to our sistas and brothas that have to live the moment through us, we love you guys!!!! This makes me try everyday to give better updates. :-*

Those of us living the moment through you guys are still getting shivers of wonder at what and how you describe the sights of these flyers.  Thank you to all who are sharing their experiences.

AW, y'all are makin' me misty eyed.  It's the excitement of the day... it's the excitement of the day...it's the

What an AWESOME day. Rose didn't mention we saw Fate ( I could see white on his leg) having some lunch on northeast parapet and I think it was Luck came & sat next to him on the ledge.  I guess he wasn't in a sharing mood, cause he picked up that food and flew down onto the rooftop. Luck just sat there and watched.  While I was waiting for BL two of the chicks were on the Scotia Bank bldg and one of them flew and swooped right down to two story bldg where all the pigeons roost.  There were pigeons scattering everywhere. I was laughing,  ;D she scared the **** out of them . I must tell you it's quite a sight to watch them playing touch talons, they would hang on for a few seconds , slightly fall and then regain there composure and then do it again.  It was a great day.  ;D ;D

It is truly awesome.  They were just little wee white fluff balls a few weeks ago and now this.

I am so grateful that I am part of this and I hope that we are making a difference.  I think we are because so many people ask and we tell.

and they will probably be gone by the following week.

Don't give up yet -- after all, the Winnipeg chicks fledged a couple of weeks before your Brandon ones did, and they're still around downtown -- flying higher, but still around. So keep watching!  ;)
