Had a run through the recorder since midnight ...

0132h - adult came to the ledge (closer to cam than box) with food

0453h - Ivy was in the nestbox just hanging, still there at 0502, took off with food at 0514h
1215h - Ivy arrived at the nestbox with food and there was no one there to feed - poor guy - he left after about 10 seconds

... quiet since ...

That Ivy!  Strong parenting instinct, and a killing machine, results caught on tape.

0227h - juvenile cam to the box edge, then off onto the ledge
0403h - not sure, could have been an adult on a gust of wind or a juvenile - thinking adult though
0412h - juvenile came to the box and then left almost immediately - strong arrival, strong departure

I hooked up with Dennis this morning. He spotted all 4 chicks and the parents. Mcdermot was sitting on the corner of the MTS Centre building, 2 on the Sterling Bldg and one on Pam's roof.

Hot news item !!!!!  Dennis just called, there's an adult feeding one of the chicks on the north side of the Radisson, on one of the window ledges.

Fairly breezy today and there's supposed to be rain. But the weather forecasters have been proven wrong - once or twice.

  Thank you bccs for your A.M. post. Apparently our Royals are doing phabulous. Can hear them but do not see them. Hopefully they will overnight at the nestbox. All I see on the ledge is inedible edibles. Guess this is yet another year that you and msdolittle will not have to rescue and pee(k) into the box.

but also sad not to be seeing them....

I know what you mean, because as soon as I get up I usually turn on the cam to see if anyone of the parents or the chicks are around. I was alittle sad this morning because I didn't see any of the chicks or parents hanging around. It is nice to hear that they are doing ok.

Thanks for the report bccs. Wonderful to hear all 4 are in the Radisson area. You and Dennis are a godsend for providing updates so early in the morning. I have the cam on and can hear the birds in the background but don't see them on the ledge. It's good to know they are safe.
