RaptorGal you may find this interesing, it is something I posted earlier in April about the hatching of a peregrine.  :)

How utterly fascinating!!  These little ones really do have a bit of a struggle to hatch!!  Totally awesome.  So we may see an eyas today, given Princess's behaviours of yesterday.  Perhaps there was a pip we saw (a white one size of Princess's dark eye). Now we can hold our breath and watch ..... :)

Had a look at the eggs on both of the box cams over the last couple of shift changes and its hard to tell whether or not there is pip on an egg or two, but maybe - or it could just be darker spots on eggs that have faded (as they do) over the last month of incubation and rolling around on gravel ...

In the last shuggle I thought I saw a slightly different pattern, maybe a pip, in the front egg.  Then I saw a shadow/spider scuttle across the lens.

I saw that too, but then Princess shuffled and rolled the egg, so I am not sure about that.  I thought I had seen this on the egg yesterday.  But Princess gave the egg no special treatment like listening to it today.  hmmmmmmmmm, and we wait....

Say, is it too early yet to think of names for these little royal peregrines?  It is the Queen's diamond jubilee this year.  Perhaps some names along those lines?   Diamond, Jubilee, Elizabeth, Alexandra,  Buckingham, Windsor, ....

:) Ok, little royal sitter just left the eggs.  No sign of the eyases peeking out yet!  Little eggies, please hatch -- we all want to see what our godchickees are, us godparents are waiting to see your little fluffings!! :)

Royal hatcher just squiggled back onto the eggs.  Good looking and bright eyed! :D

last shift change was an hour ago and still 4 eggs when Ivy took over.  Shuggle-shuffle may have been a bit gentler, but didn't look like he (or she when she left) was coddling the eggs as they shifted over.  Nice day for a hatch, sunny with no rain in the forecast.  There is suppose to be wind from the southwest, which technically should blow into the nestbox but given all the buildings downtown it might not.  If it does, it might help keep whomever is "on" in the late afternoon a wee bit cooler ...

:) Good morning all!  It looks like all is quiet this morning in the nest box.  Sun is up and it looks a bit breezy with some feathers dancing around in the nest box.  Maybe today is the day for a hatchling!!!  Let us see....!!!

Seems Princess's bedding is an egg crate that has to be squiggled around at times!! ;D
