Radisson - 2012 / Ivy & Princess

While waiting for a bus at MTS Centre looked up at the Radisson nest box hoping to catch a glance of Princess or Ivy. Just as I did a peregrine flew westward over the Radisson roof  and I watched it soar upwards. Followed it as it headed north and then veered slightly westward again and then went southbound out of sight. It was great watching how far it travelled in a mere matter of seconds.

Did you see her line up three eggs in a row?  The middle one I am sure has a large pip.  She is sure doing a lot of "hovering" over the eggs with her wings spread out.  I am sure that in spite of the breeze, it must be warm in the nest box with the sun shining in.    *sigh* I guess she must be the eggspert on hatching these little falconettes as she has done this a time or two before!!

Now it looks like it is time to cool the eggs. Seems to be more shading and breeze tunnelling going on. Another egg dance and turn to the left....

haha, good thing Mama Princess is plump enough to keep the little eggheads covered!

Just had another shuffle going on.  I definitely think that the "spots" on two eggs closest to the camera were larger than the normal spots.  Could be pips on two eggs.

I was thinking the same thing, I remember a couple years ago when they nested on the wicked East Ledge  - those chicks got blown around like cotton balls on a windy day - it got pretty scary sometimes, we thought they'd go right over the edge!

Just saw a shuffling going on.  I didnt see any eggs but I may have tuned in too late.  Sure is breezy in the nest box!!!  Dont want the little tykes blown away!!

I just turned on the camera for the afternoon, and saw Ivy's last few minutes and the shift change to Princess.

She seems pretty fidgety too!

It's been like that for some time now, Baffled. Now the eggs are all alone. Does the one in the front on the left look like it has a pip in it?... Okay, shift change now and this bird looks much bigger so this must be Princess.

The last five minutes have seen some serious shifting, shuffling, rearranging, fidgeting . . .
