We can trust Princess, she knows what she's doing... even if we think it's taking a very looooooong time. ;)

If they wait until May 13th, it will not only be mother's day, but my mom's 80th birthday - it would make it a very, very special day ;D

Poor Princess has been stuck to the eggs all day - playing with pebbles, dozing, shifting positions......waiting, waiting....Those kids sure are taking their sweet time about it!!  ::)

The good thing about it being Princess on the eggs most now is that it is usually what she does right before and after they hatch.

Its very windy here again today so that may be contributing to both of the adults' desire to stay on the eggs.  Not that the wind will affect them much in the egg but too much protection is better than too little and if as we believe the chicks are starting their bid for freedom, Princess and Ivy may be willing to err on the side of caution.

The waiting does suck however ...

Has Princess been on the eggs all day today? I can only watch in fits and starts, but every time I check, there she is.

Perhaps that's why she's bored and attacking the nest pebbles right now. . .

??? Princess appears to be calm at the moment. However, we do not know what is "pounding" beneath her. Calm before the storm? I hope that tomorrow, May 12th, the first chick will hatch. My sister's b'day. However, a chick will break through at its own pace. As all mothers know, get rest while you can, Princess. Ivy, when a mother-to-be has a craving, get your tail feathers in gear.  ;D ;D

...And for the new folks on this board - our peregrines eat birds, not pork chops ...
Even my Kinderchicklets know that! ;) LOL!
Way to go Kinderchiklets!

When I first read the article, my first thought was "that's not kosher..." ;D (Sometimes I just kill me, ahahahaha...)

It really is a case of "when pigs fly"! haha

I agree, a lot of shuffling... and I think I saw something that looked like poke/crack in the shell of one egg!! Exciting!

I thought so too but was not sure.  It was on the end of the egg too, right where a popping pip should be!  Come on you little eggheads, get pop those pips, and get the pip-pops going! :D

 :)  I agree Leana
The Princess just came back and shuffled those eggs around.  I think there was a something going on there.  She really shuffled around and around before deciding on more shuffling.  Restless Momma wants her kiddies to arrive.

TPC's prediction from earlier this month...

BEST NEWS
Have been able to confirm laying dates at the Radisson - 7 days between first and last egg and incubation began right on time with egg #3.
Egg 1 - April 3 @ 0740h
Egg 2 - April 5 @ 0903h
Egg 3 - April 7/8 overnight (between 10pm and 7am - too dark to see on camera)
Egg 4 - April 10 @ 1150h

So say, 28 days of incubation from April 7th is May 5th, but Princess usually incubates for between 31 and 34 days.  So, estimated hatch date range is May 7th to 10th.

So...if I’ve calculated correctly, today is day 34 so those eggs should be well done by now!  Come out, come out wherever you are…
