There seemed to be a storm rolling over downtown, but the high wind and rain lasted only about 10 mins.  Still some wnd tho, as you can see.  

Yes, seems Princess has quite the time trying not to get blown about in the nestbox!  She should move the little family further back towards the back of the box.  She really is quite low down in her huddle.

Imagine what Princess is saying in her running commentary of chupping,  "That's right, take it all, dear," " Just wait a minute until I get the right sized bit," " Wait your turn, sweetheart, there's lots for all of you,"  "There you are, well done," and, "We'll save the rest for a snack later."

Princess sure behaves like a little darling mother!  She reminds me very much of Tweetybird's Grandma!!  Love the way she talks to her little flufflings!!  Instead of cuddling her little ones, she fluffle-ups to them!

 So cute to see the two of them "chubbling" each other after they were fed.  Princess swooped out with the little carcass of left-overs.  One more egg to hatch!!

Princess is back to cover them up and put them to sleep!  Got to get into the right position!!!  squiggle, squiggle,  fluffle-up now...

Could be one of the words I used here??  chubbling, fluffle-up

When the two little flufflings were using their little beaks to kiss and nuzzle each other, I really thought they were chubbling!    Fluffle-up is what Princess does when the flufflings want in under her feathers!  It all makes sense to me!!  of course, I have been called a bird-brain....

I think this just might be a new word for our Phanatic Dictionary, RG! There was another word that you used the other day that I thought should go in the dictionary too, but now I can't remember what it was. I knew I should have commented on it just as soon as I read it. It really made me smile. If I come across it, I'll be sure to let you know.

Just watched the feeding. I know they feed them all eventually, but the little one in the back couldn't reach over the bigger kids. The front three had big full crops, the littlest one, not so much.

TPC once mentioned that this chick will probably get more next time.

We are such worrywarts, Princess knows what she's doing.

We are very much allowed to be worrywarts and give out all the advise we can!!  Now it is up to Princess whether or not she will pay any attention to this advise.  It is all well meant!  Now those little flufflings are just darlings!  And they sing for their snacks and supper already!!!  What a little quartet we have in the nest box!

She's back, and with a nice early dinner.
It is so nice to see that littlest one getting fed.
Of course it is so nice to see all of them being fed, and especially now  to hear the sounds of Princess encouraging them as she beaks out the food.
