Looks to be sunny in Brandon right now. Chicks are resting in the shade inside the nestbox.  :)

Great video, RCF!  "Hmmm, do I want to take another walk...it was fun, but had such a hard time getting back up here...what do you think, Rain?...yeah, I think you're right, better stay inside for a little longer 'til I'm  a little stronger...and maybe we can do some exploring together... 8)"

After these two were fed and after one of them was up on the table, the other one tried to get up there. He only tried once but I think he was interested in the head that was left by the parent......it looked like a blue jay head, really not sure if it was though.   :-\   You can see the head in the video of the kid on the ledge.

Looks like Rosser was thinking about escaping again this morning.  I watched him (assume it's Rosser) climb up on the table... wander out to the edge of the table... look around for awhile and finally turn around and to back into the nest box.  Whew.

Don't you dare!

Happy Cananda Day everyone!  It was great fun to read about Rosser's escape yesterday!  So funny to see him romp around on the roof.  What a little scamp ::)  The photos and the videos told the whole story - the runaway chick, the lonely left-behind brother, the runaway chick trying to get back into the nestbox, the left-behind chick giving the cold shoulder to his brother...both so cute and lovable :-*
