Hurricane was looking a bit tattered today when we were there taking down the cameras - moulting time for her.  Brooklyn looked better though he was definitely missing a feather or two from his right wing.  Same thing happening here in Winnipeg so not a cause for any kind of concern.  One of the boys turned up briefly to see what all the fuss was about  but didn't stay too long.  Brooklyn made sure we actually left his rooftop before he stopped kakking at us.

After work today I was very happy to see both Rain and Rosser together after only seeing one at a time since August 3rd.  ;D 8)

1015 hours
 Just back from down town,saw 2 birdies. Hurricane perched on the Scotia Towers east louver and one of the boys on the MTS tower(don't know which one) He was sitting covering his bands and I couldn't see his head properly because of the sun so couldn't tell that way either. At times he was kakking up a storm trying to tell his mother it was snack time but I guess she was ignoring him. No sign of Brooklyn or the other boy.

What time of day were you here?  I didn't see anybody after work at 2:30pm.  I think the best time to see them is early in the morning, that's when I've been seeing them.

If you don't have your binos to see on and inside the communications tower, you probably will have a hard time finding our birdies. They will perch where they are out of the sun on hot days.  I took this on July 28th.

I was there overnight actually, but not downtown until yesterday mid-morning, left shortly after noon. At this time of year, I did know that it was a long shot, didn't really expect to see them (but hoped).

Rose and I checked on the birdies this morning and again only saw one chick and both adults.  It was definitely Rosser we saw because we could see the yellow tape on his band while he was having brunch up on the communications tower. We are pretty sure it was Rain I saw yesterday and for sure Rosser today.
