Just prior to the light going, it looked like egg 2 might have begun cracking along the mid-line, or it could be poop, hard to tell.  We'll have to wait until tomorrow to be sure I'm afraid.  Last meal fo the day was just after 2000hrs.

Still just one chick and one egg.  Last meal was at 1525hrs and then the chick just crashed into a food-induced coma - didn't even move when Beau came in to hang out ... very tiny, very cute.

Oh, this is such great news! I have told the Kinderchicklets about Jules & Beau and once in awhile they do ask about them. They will be so excited, come Monday morning, when I share the good news with them. Maybe there will even be 2 chicks by then! And just in time for Father's Day!

Update on the WW chick's first few hours ...

0403h - Jules left and Beau came to check out his offspring - hung out until Jules came back with a meal - European Starling and newly caught I believe - today was not a good day to be the "early bird".

0415h - chick's first meal, both Jules and the chick seemed to have the mechanics very well worked out - not alot of food but not alot of misses or fumbles either.

0937h - still just one chick from what I can see ...

I am crossing my fingers NO RAIN on  this new baby.

Not sure the rain could get to this nest so don't think that's a worry here but of course we'll be watching ...
