Just home from a great night -- falcons a-flying everywhere!  Mostly the boys playing chicken with each other but, at one point, all five!

Just took another look at the nestbox. Whatever the wind has done to the wings, "spooky". :o

Looking at the nestbox, I am reminded of the song quoted in someone's post. There are now two pairs of wings blowing in the wind. I wonder, who was the wind beneath their wings????? Princess, Ivy, Cade, Carson or Beatrix? :D

 8) :D :o  Good comment GCG!  I like it!  ;D  "The wind beneath the wings." or my fav, "Four strong winds."
Thank you, newchick or should I say, NKOTB?  :-*

Perhaps with this wind the "ghostly" wings will get blown out of the box!  They certainly are "flapping around" in the gusts.  No wonder when it is getting dark we think someone is there :o

And I bet the wind is even stronger downtown, given the hi-rises here.
My tomatos, cucumber and flowers are being blown around like mad. I actually had to wire some of them to the balcony railing.

I checked on the way home, but did not spot a falcon, adult or juvie anywhere.
If the kids are smart, they're avoiding this wind. It's not a steady wind, but rather huge gusts that come out of nowhere. Too unpredictable for the novices I would imagine, but I could be wrong about that.

I sure hope they are tucked in someplace sheltered because that wind is wicked at times. Just walked from Tuxedo Safeway through the park and the wind isn't nice.

No one at the moment, though it's the sky cam view and the ledge in not visible.

...He/she is tucked beside the nestbox at the far end
Can't really see a bird there, but maybe that lump is a bird. :-\ I guess it is. Much cooler today, with the nice breeze outside. :)

Mother Hen, you have such a fantastic vantage point -- I envy you being able to occasionally catch sight of one of the birds; being able to see a flying display like the one you describe is a huge bonus!
