ty RCF nice to know I wasn't the only one to question that.
This is what I saw eagle. Second hatch shell on the right, possibly third in the middle and looks like fourth has a pip. :-\

TPC do we have a 3rd hatching or was that the shell from the 2nd egg?

Very impressive that we can hear Princess eating the eggshell, so two little ones underneath and two unhatched.

I am at home today, so able to watch the births for at least a little while until the rug-cleaner shows up.  Princess is all puffed up like a balloon, it looks like two little white fluffs are under her, and it looks like she is waiting, none to patiently, for the rest of the show to get on the road.

Just as a note, a couple of minutes before Eggette decided to hatch, Ivy came to the box with food.  For those of you watching and wondering what she was yelling about, she was telling Ivy to go back to the waiting room ...
...lol TPC !!  ;D ;D

I was wondering the same thing nibs.  And yes hatching is very quiet TPC, you would think there would be more noise.

So Chick #1 has to wait to eat while Chick #2 hatches?

I'm assuming that it is more important for Chick #2 to be warm and dry . . . and the falcons would not feed while Chick #2 is still damp or in process of hatching? How long after hatching before a feeding can occur (I mean, while the chicks are at different stages, as now)?
