We have kids sprawled out all over the nestbox - one in the far inside corner, two along the north edge of the box in the outside and our usual right under the outside box cam ... hard to choose a camera angle since you can only see one or two from each view ...

Three of the kids are out front at the box edge sitting in the sun/shade, Ivy is inside the box getting out of the sun ... Ivy is the only adult who does this ...

What a racket ...the gentle feedings of a week ago are done.  Now the poor parent is ripping the meet to feed the screaming kids as fast as it can.

Anyone else catch the 11:10am feeding?  I loved all the brunch conversations and then laughed myself silly watching the trolling for leftovers!  So funny. . . . . .

WOW!

I've been away for a few days so was stunned to notice the following changes today:
-  Today is the first time I noticed the start of black flight feathers on the wing tips & tails
-  Today is the first time I noticed how the vocal cords are getting stronger as the chicks grow; could not believe the RACKET during feeding time!
-  Could it be they doubled in size over the last 3 days?  Probably not but sure seems like it!!!

Interesting to see their shadows moving around on the inside of the nestbox wall, where the sun is still shining, while they were all outside. :)
