1525h
Cade and Beatrix are doing rain dances again on the ledge and in the nestbox!!
Sometimes I wonder about their common sense.

Actually they do look like they are having fun right now ...  ;D
Dopey chicks ...

Wouldn't it be great if Carson decided that he'd had enough of life away from home right now ...

Hm, instead of taking shelter in the nice condo, they've decided that this is a good time to play in the rain and do some wingersizing!  ::)

This is just wrong, severe thunderstorm warnings from Carman to the Ontario border.
Tornado warnings for RMs south of Winnipeg and now for the eastern beaches of Lake Winnipeg (Bel-Air, Grand Beach, Victoria etc) as the storm is tracking across the lake from Gimli.

And huge freaking boomers over my house right now!!!  And now HAIL

And its sunny and dry in Brandon - this is just wrong  :o
just kidding  :-* about time y'all missed getting more rain!

The way I read the forecast on Environment Canada's website, both watches are in effect -- a Tornado Watch and also a Severe Thunderstorm Watch -- sounds like a delightful evening!

So, bear with me, but I'm a bit confused. Are we to expect a tornado or just severe thunderstorms sweeping through Winnipeg? :-\ Not that one will be any more pleasant than the other, however. ::) Will the chicks just stay put, wherever they are, including Carson? ???

Dark, dark clouds moving in from the west. If we do get that severe thunderstorm, maybe our still-in-the-nest chicks will stay put for at least another day!

:o :'( What sad, sad news to read on Fyfe.  One gets attached watching these magnicient creatures, from Eggs, to tiny balls of fluff, clumsy and uncertain of themselves to almost Adult-hood.  Indeed a very sad day.  :'(

Thanks for the history of fledgling accidents, TPC -- given all the many hazards the new flyers face, it's really surprising that there aren't more accidents like that. Every one is one too many, of course.
