Great news about CArson :-*

so glad the security  staff spotted him.

I am sure the adults knew he was there and probably gave him a feed. had you not mentioned done of the adults in that direction TPC.

yup, time to stay focused on the two in the nest box and know the Carson is in good hands for the time being.

Last year when Gord got the call about our Blue band female in a fan , she was away fro site for 3 days before We released her with Gord , from top of parkade , adjacent from nest box, and parents accepted her fine.

A member of the security staff at Hydro spotted the bird and thinking it could be injured, they contacted Wildlife Haven who picked him up and then they gave me a call with the details.

Great big thanks to the security staff for taking the appropriate action!  :-*
And, of course to Wildlife Haven and all involved.

Here's hoping Carson will be fine - great photo.

Thanks for the update on Carson, TPC (and the photo -- he's beautiful!). Waiting and seeing is hard on the nerves, but I'll just hope Wildlife Haven keeps the good news coming.

Big poop-shot, Bea, I think - clear over the edge of the box! Look out below!

Update on Carson ...

He survived the night and has been checked by the vet staff.  He's strong and active and has been given a chick for breakfast.  They are going to keep an eye on him as he still has some wheeze/gurgling in his throat (he had evidence of some bleeding when he was picked up last night) but so far, so good.

I'll make sure to post daily updates ... or as things change.

Its just wait and watch over Beatrix and Cade time!

Great news that Carson was found before it was too late -- will look forward to hearing that Wildlife Haven has contacted you with nothing but good news about his progress. If it takes a couple of days, he could well have the nestbox to himself!

:) So happy Carson has been located and is being examined by the Wildlife Haven. I hope he receives a clean bill of health and can be returned to the nestbox. Thanks for the good news Tracy.

SO glad to hear Carson's been located and is hopefully OK. Got all my fingers and toes crossed!  If he gets a clean bill of health will you return him to the nest box Tracy?

Probably but it will depend on how he's doing and how long until he can be re-released.  The adults will accept him just fine if he's away for a bit, but I don't want to scare Cade and Beatrix if I don't have to, so it will depend.  I can say that he will be released up high regardless of when he's released and ideally getting him back into the nestbox would be my first choice because he knows what he is doing there.

Whew, so glad you found him TPC!!  Hopefully it's only his ego that's bruised but at least he is in good hands now!  ;D

Oh, I wish I could say I found him, but I can't  :)  A member of the security staff at Hydro spotted the bird and thinking it could be injured, they contacted Wildlife Haven who picked him up and then they gave me a call with the details.
