Know what you mean, Leana -- because I can't see the cam at work, I keep checking back on the forum to see if anybody's reported seeing anybirdy! 

Even though we have had no posts about our Royals, I am positive that many of our fledgewatchers are downtown and when they return home, we will be up very late reading their posts. Thanking you in advance fledgewatchers.   My husband and I will be downtown tomorrow for our anniversary dinner and for sure, will be straining our necks watching for flybys.

I keep sneaking a peek at the cam in hopes of finding somebirdy back home but... *sigh*... nothing so far.   

Hi all fledgewatchers,  I am new here at posting but have been watching the cams off and on.  I am one of the ones who keep sneaking cam peeks at the hopes of seeing our beautiful chicks.     But like all kids who get a taste of out of the house, these ones are no different.  Although Cade seems to be the only smart one to come home to his own bed! lol  Maybe Carson will also get to come back to his baby nestbox!! and hopefully soon.  Thanks to all of you with "eyes who post the comings and goings on of these chicks", it is much appreciated by those who cant get their eyes there in person!

It sure was the funniest typo of the season!!!

Last year, I caught the typo about peeing, not peeking into the box. I still hope I am forgiven for this reference, bccs.

Might have had something to do with the fact that bccs peed in the box ...lol...
BOT - Saw a birdie sitting on the 'S' of the Radisson sign just before noon - then took off soaring & flapping, soaring & flapping. More flapping than I thought Peregrines usually did, so maybe a kiddie practicing some skills...

Curiousity (and lunchbreak boredom!  ) found me digging through the posts from last year.  Found the one where Tracy referred to Isis as (and I quote) "Isis, the murderous little witch".  LOL.  Got the story.  Let's hope Carson is a bit more well behaved...

  Saoirose is correct on the falcon I refer to, Leana. msdolittle and bccs can explain what happened better than I. Isis aka renamed as Kali fledged into traffic on Portage Ave. bccs and msdolittle came to her rescue with a box. They were able to put her into the box without incident because she was stunned by her mishap. However when TPC reached into the box to transfer her to a carrier and take her to be checked out, she was no longer stunned and Isis/Kali chomped down on TPC's thumb. Ouch. major pain.  Ladies, am I close?

Leana, I don't remember thumbs specifically, but I do remember that Isis was more than a little cantankerous when she was re-released back into the nestbox (that's when TPC added Kali to her name!). Dangerous as those talons and beaks are at banding time, they're even worse by fledgling stage, I think.

I keep checking the Radisson cam in hopes of seeing Carson appear.  Conditions are perfect (in my uneducated opinion  ) for his return.  Beautiful temps and next to no wind... I do wonder about the above post regarding thumbs being tucked in... What happened last year?  Don't think I was following at that time.  

OK, just rechecked the weather and the winds have picked up a bit... hope they don't get any stronger...
