Just looked in and WOW how fabulous to see our big sis and little brother hanging companionably on the nest box edge!!!!
This picture is very precious.
(Just getting dinner on, and will catch up on the posts later.)

Someone needs to tell Bea to move over... she's sitting on Cade's Corner.  ;)

After watching the nest box for the last hour, it amazes me how far Bea has come.  Remember how long it took her to venture out onto the ledge?  Now she trudges up and down it like a soldier and easily hops back up onto the edge of the nest box.

I was thinking the very same thing.

Isn't that a great picture -- the two of them perched on the edge of the nestbox, side by side, looking out at the night.

Well it looks like the "empty nest" syndrome has been alleviated, at least for a while.  It is great to see Carson and Bea together in the nest box.  Just hope Cade comes home for the night.  They can have a little family reunion.  Also hope the parents bring these hungry "kids" some bedtime snacks - large ones!

Holy Moly Beatrix is one big babe.  Her brother looks so tiny next to her.

I do love an adventure story with a happy ending! The clip from CTV was great.

It was pretty funny here at my house when it happened... I was on the computer (checking the forum of course!) and my hubby was watching the news in the background.  I heard "peregrine falcon was found" and I turned around and went "WHAT?" and rushed to the TV and turned it up... caught the end of the clip.  Luckily we have a PVR so I replayed the whole thing and went "OMG, I have to post this"... so I did, and there was next to no-one on at the time so I had nobody to "talk" to and I was all flustered!!!  Even sent a text message to Kinderchick because she's the only one whose phone # I have!   ::) LOL.  Sure glad everything turned out OK and that the cam stays active for another day or two until the returnees leave.

Hey we are up to 32 watchers on this thread!  I am curious of what Princess and  Ivy think, and if they know that Bea and Carson are back??!! and if so would they just recognize their own offspring visually  and carry on, or would they have to get up close to confirm? Amazing really.

So TPC, is it likely they will be a little timid before trying to fly again, or are they likely to just take off again fairly quickly?  Or do we just wait and see?

Sometimes returnees take a couple of days (anyone remember Vesper  ::)) or they could right away - Chinook and Mistral were off like bolts of lighting when they were returned to the nestbox after their spa visit ...
