Early Sunday morning, Beau cooperated enough to let me get two looks at his legband.  According to his band number, Beau is a 2007 male from the small innovative breeding program at Parkland Mews Falconry and Bird of Prey Education Centre south of Winnipeg.  I spoke with Rob at Parkland Mews and he said the male hadn't been named because he was being released, so his is officially Beau now!

Still don't know the background of Jules, but we will keep trying to read her band number!  Whom ever she is, she's Jules to us!

Thanks bccs, VERY happy to hear that Jules is doing so well, 'specially after we all said 'Poor Jules' so many times when she was all alone!  ;D

Spent a couple of hours this morning trying to read Beau's band number ... he was cooperating but the wind made it difficult to keep the scope steady AND see through his fluttering feathers at the same time!!

Cold but sunny ...

Well now, I was out and about this morning and as I was walking to my car I heard a very familiar sound. ;D    Then I heard 2 very familiar sounds.  ;D ;D

Jules and Beau, circling over my head, yakking up a storm, playing, riding thermals, chasing each other, in slow lazy circles.  I went to a better vantage point and there they were, no more than 100 feet above me.  Wow oh wow. Spent 20 wonderful minutes just watching and smiling.
The B&B is a wonderful site, lucky, lucky, me.
