thanks TPC, for all the updates. :-* :-*

You are very welcome, hope to have more photos and videos up soon.  Five cameras meant I have been spending most of my spare time just downloading video and as you mentionned on the Edmonton site, it takes more time to upload video so downloading is my priority at the moment!!  Hate the idea of losing a second of the chicks' progress!!

The one who ran for cover must be a girl -- she has enough sense to come in out of the rain!

The chicks won't be 40 days old until Monday, so a few more days until fledging would be the norm.  And they can fledge at any time of the day, but overwhelmingly prefer first thing in the morning, not a bad thing as winds tend to be lighter (on average) earlier in the day.

And one of our kids is a real little homebody.  When it rained early this evening, s/he ran straight back to the nestbox and tucked up under the roof until the worst of it passed.  And s/he is back now, sitting on the north edge of the building watching the world roll by.  A few minutes ago, she was lying down on her tummy napping in the back corner of the box again.  Very cute and homey!

Soooooo - instead of taking flight at a sensible time ie morning when someone is one watch - they just might decide to fly the coop at night?

1526 hrs (local) - one of the chicks, can't tell who, is napping on its belly in the shade of the nestbox right now ... definitely not thinking about fledging at the moment! :D
From what I've seen these are lazy chickies, kinda like Aura ::) ::)

We're getting rain, they are calling for t-storms and more rain this afternoon and this evening. Oh yeah and the humidex is 41C at the moment.  Those kids are smart heading for cover when it rains!

1314 hrs (local)  ;)  One of the chicks dropped by for a visit at the nestbox ... just heard that we are expected to get more rain today, if we do, it will be interesting to see who comes back to get out of the wet ...

I probably wouldn't get to that party either, eagle.  But, if I do make it to Winnipeg for a Phanatic Party, I would really like bccs to be there!

I don't know Eagle. TPC tells me not to tell, so I don't. Then she says that she has my back. Then I'm facing death at the hands of either mother hen or Heidi. After my demise, I'm peregrine fodder and y'all are having a great big party on the roof.  ???

But, even though the Chick has deserted me and offered me up as sacrifice :'(

I STILL WILL NOT TELL   :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X
