So far (knock-on-wood) it has been a pretty gentle spring for weather and according to the long-range forecast (as of today) we will hit 20+ temps for the first time by about this time next week and not much rain in the interim.

As for the little darlings and their lousy taste in nestsites, there was some work being done on the rooftop towers that might have put them off.  I don't think so as the workmen were very careful and followed all my recommendations very closely - and they were quick.  But who knows.  Maybe they need to finish off what they began last year.  Its annoying but that's what happens with wild-nesting peregrines, we don't always get what we want!  :'(

Ecstatic about the eggs...  ;D...devastated about the chosen location  :'(  - I guess we'll have to hope for a really nice, calm, warm, non-windy summer in the Peg.  8)

We are off and running at the Radisson folks!

Here are the most recent updates .... the webcam is talking to all the proper pieces of software so we are already to go live about two weeks before the Radisson eggs hatch.  You ask what eggs?  Yes we have eggs.  First one laid on the 19th, 2nd on the 20th, 3rd I believe early today and the birds have now begun incubating.  If they lay a fourth we will find out about it when they trade places or at meal times.  Where is the nest, well the news is that the "Nest on the West" campaigned failed, they are back in exactly the same spot they were on last year.  I am in the middle of trying to arrange to install a raised nest tray on the nestledge to give the chicks a bit more security.  We know what we are going to do and how we are going to do it but now I have to get the tray built and try to arrange for a "lift" to get us up to the ledge to install it.  A different nest location but it will be basically be like the box installation at the Maine, USA website (for more information or to check out the Maine Falcon Cam, check the Other Peregrines board).

I'm sure you will have questions, some I'll be able to answer now, some as we go along ....

The Peregrine Chick.

I found the hoe and am bringing it out.  Apparently, some of us have forgotten about how to stay on topic.   ;)  lmao

I'm waiting for the other shoe to hit the floor, I usually only get this when somethings up, or when I was supposed to be somewhere else and ended up at the Radison. ???

Speaking of which, with the webcam work going on, I don't have access to the spycam so I will be making more "runs" to the Hotel than I am wont to do (that's one of the wonderful management advantages to having cameras!!).

Great to see the word wont. Haven't seen that used in a long time. Love the English language. :)

Saw both birds on the ledge this morning, then pretty much nothing else all day.  Though we did have a fly-by literally just outside our windows.  Raised 'oohs and ahhs' from every cubie on the way!

We're working on the camera connections again this afternoon - well, not me actually since in this I'm a techno-twit and am very happy to leave it to the "experts" - you know, "what's-his-name"  ;) and his friends from CBC and Shaw.

Oh sure... I see.  When thing's don't want to behave, they become "My" friends.  Is that how this is going to work, huh ?  Alrighty then.  >:(

Eye-spy - do you know Larry our Camera God?  Isn't he wonderful!!! Next to Trey he and Dennis are tied for the phanatic's favs award!  He's smart, witty and drop-dead gorgeous and when he does those technical things, well, it just makes a 21st century woman swoon ...  ;D

CLEAN UP IN AISLE THREE.. WE NEED A 'HOE' OVER HERE TO DEAL WITH A LARGE PILE OF ......    ::)   ;D
