given the ledge is as tall as they are and they can barely stay upright without doing a faceplant, I think it's pretty unlikely they will crawl out.  That said, I'd be happy enough for the debris to go away, too.   :P

I would like to know if that is a hot air "register" the little one is leaning against at twelve o'clock position.

Pchemist, thanks for pointing me to TPC's kinderchicklet answer -- what a great answer! Although the chicks are cute, they're also so much more than that, and I sincerely appreciate knowing and understanding at least some of what I'm watching . . . and watching . . . and watching.

Mom or dad is with the chicks now.  Looks like food should be coming soon.  2 of the chicks are up and walking.  Cannot see the thirsd one at this time.

BOT (aka back on topic)

1108 hrs (local) - All three chicks are napping with their heads into the wall - 2 south of the nestbox, 1 north of the nestbox (look for the white mass through the now opaque sides of the nest-tray).  All's well ... imagine a meal will arrive shortly as that is usually what happens as soon as all the kids have finally gone to sleep ....

Except at this age/stage you can't tell gender by size accurately  :)

yup, that is why I'm out on a limb and making assumptions.   8)
