Very strange . . . I KNOW that I posted around 7:30 but my message seems to have vanished (it's probably on some totally unrelated thread since I did post as soon as I got to work and probably was still operating on auto pilot) . . . ANYWAY . . . because I was running a bit early this morning, I had a chance to stop in downtown for a look and did spot one of our birds on the south side of the Rogers Building. I was lucky enough to catch sight of him soaring up from behind the building and making several gorgeous sweeps through the sky before he handed on the building. Although I waited for a bit to see if he'd fly or if anyone would join him, he was still there, preening, when I had to leave. A great start to the morning! (Don't know who it was except that it wasn't Trey and it wasn't Vesper -- no white shirtfront, and too quiet)

Air quality check. Looks foggy out, but actually it's low lying clouds making their way south. Was looking up at the Radisson sign, no one there, but out from behind the hotel comes Vesper. She did one fly round and then went back to the west side. Love the sight of her, love the sound of her. ;D

It's a real pleasure to do the reports Carly et al. And I know that if anyone had the opportunity that I have, they'd be doing the same thing. And with the same excitement and joy. :-*

You are right there bccs, I am sooo enjoying this opportunity to be part of this project and the forum.  Not to mention being able watch our kids grow and thrive.  It is very exciting.

Keep up the good work there in the Peg.   :-*

We have that same problem here bccs...rain, rain and more rain.  On the plus side, it's probably the greenest year in awhile.  Thanks for your reports  ;)

Thursday July 30 air quality check. Nothing this morning. It's clear right now, but we're supposed to get rain later. Oh boy, just what we need. The streets are almost drying up and we can't have that now, can we. ::) ::)

Hey Bccs I was just able to check in and read all of your "air quality checks" for today. Thank you for your dedication. It is so hard to believe hearing your description of Tupper riding on a thermal when just a short while ago we were all chanting to the computer screen, "stop flapping don't go near the edge" "it's too windy hug the wall" I am quite sure it worked. From little cotton balls who can barely waddle around to beautiful graceful creatures. Wow!
It's sure something to see and be part of MLF!!!
B and I have sure spent a lot of time downtown, B has devoted so much of her time, and we love her for it.  I wish I could but only short stops for me on my way to work and longer stops on the way home...if the parking wars work in my favour and there aren't any parking police around!

Sheesh, raining again, a straight-down pouring. Now the sun is trying to peek through. What a place. ::)

And here, only about 2km west, the sun's shining and the streets are dry . . . you gotta wonder . . . ::)
