Not quite as strange as it sounds, BCBird! The green slash is just a line under the word "Radisson".

And at night it "lights" up and glows green  ;D

1830 hrs (local)

The green light in the "slash" just cam on and is making Messy Miss/ter's tail feathers glow rather radioactively  :D

Whatever are you describing?

I got a glimpse at the top digit but I'm not sure of it, want to see it one more time.  At the moment I have the spycam zoomed in on her feet but she's just sitting at the north end of the sign and her feathers are hanging down over her feet so I just have to wait for poop-art or pellet ejection.  At the moment I can see just the talons of the important left foot but that's it ... unfortunately the light is going so won't be able to see detail shortly ... may have to wait for another day, in the morning sunlight optimally ... sigh ...

Oh, and I've checked the database and only a few of the Midwest's 2009 chick band numbers have been entered so we are just going to have to wait.  I can say that the bird is not from Edmonton or Grand Forks ... no numbers in common from what I can see ...

I think she may be considering the possibility of yacking up a pellet shortly (a gentler version of the cat-and-hairball-ejection process) which may give me a look at her feet as its a whole body activity ....  :-X

can you imagine walking under the sign and having a pellet pop you on the top of your head

Confirmed its a pigeon she's lately been dining on ... unfortunately, she's turned just the wrong way for me to see the 2nd band number while she's cleaning her feet at the moment ... they are very red so hopefully I will get another chance yet today ....

Or maybe she'll move down to the D, can get a very nice angle on her feet if she's on the D ...

Have some great images captured (37 so far) good light, almost no wind, "she" moves fast but she's a pretty bird for all the blonde on her head ... and yes, she is a very messy girl (or boy).

Have half the band number, still hoping she'll give me a chance at the other half ....
She's a blonde....she'll make you work for it  ::)
