Will check the age counts and expert estimates on fledging dates to get the range and be sure before I post here.  I suspect that fleding should take place at earliest next week, though but I rather suspect the week after (week of July 7th) ...

Will also post information on what kind of help and when we will need help in the first week as soon as I've worked out some of the logistics in my head, so probably by the weekend.  And yes, I'll be taking names at that time.

It is that time of the dark for the new thread ... the weather today is suppose to be chick-friendly - sunny, wind west (blocked by the Hotel) 20 km/h early int he afternoon with a high of 28c.  Heck, basically the same weather through to Monday ...

I can see it now.  A chain of arm-locked bird-patrol wine-sippers blocking traffic anywhere near the hotel, and BccS with a cop by the moustache explaining to him that "No, we are NOT moving along....are weeeee"     :o

Happened on an interview with TPC just a little while ago - was looking for another station and came up with a bit from the banding. Couldn't miss that chick getting its bands! Missed the first part, so don't know when it was done, other than obviously after the banding.
