Bahahahahahaha,  so sorry Carly, should have been a bit more specific and said the observations thread.
Will you forgive me :-[ :-[
I'm almost on my knees right now, begging you to overlook my incomplete post and not turn my bunnies into something edible.
You are not next to nothing, you are next to everything. ( Sucking up satisfactory?? ) ;D :-*

Well now, a few hours ago we had a forum with lots of phanatics posting, and now we have next to nothing. TPC posted what she had observed, and that may not be to everyone's likeing, but that's what it is.
So, just because that isn't the news that we all hoped for, that's no reason to grow silent.
It's not confirmed, not set in stone, there's still possibilities.
So, let's keep it going guys. Princess is still here, with luck we'll have chicks and they will grow and fledge. To me, that's what it's all about, the continuation of the falcons.
I'm thinking that it's not just the forum members that have misgivings, but there's bunches of people out there that read what we write, and what we don't write. Personally, don't want to let them down, the phanatics down and - this is very important - Tracy down.
Fingers crossed for the rockstar. :-* Haven't given up on ya.
And bless her heart, Princess is home and yakking her head off.

"a dozen raptors...in 5 minutes"  ?!!!!
How do you arrange that???!

:D We were just standing in one place looking up.  Seriously, we were just standing by Dennis' vehicle and then overhead one big bird, pull out binocs, see another one even higher.  Look over a bit more and there is another (they were all broad-winged raptors of one species or another), then another (a peregrine this time heading northwest), then two we were sure were eagles, then a band of three having a float at high altitude so no id even attempted and so on and so and so.  Then Jules took flight and we were all about the peregrine up close ;)

So, The King has made this thread all about him....typical typical boy  :P

Today is April 1st = April Fools Day, hmmmm, I wonder if he's playing a joke on us   :D

One thing, it's not late yet....other Canadian sites haven't seen their falcons yet either.

Let's keep on the positive side of things here, all scenarios are positive....
Why??
Because it's all about the birds and their means of survival.

What Allikat said, doubled. ;D

Oooookay, just have to rethink all this. I know Princess is doing what she must. I will root for her and any offspring but gosh, gee, golly, I want Trey.

Sigh, will have to just (am starting to hate this word)  :-X wait.

Not in the least depressed, the falcons will do as they need. It's all about carrying on the species and nature does rule here. And there's still a decent chance that he'll be back, so not going to fret and stew, just enjoy what we have. :)
Thanks for the update TPC.
Well I am depressed  :'(- Not too adept at change especially when sentiment & tradition are involved (Was upset when Troy Westwood got the boot...lol...) - bot - I would be sad to see Trey replaced - still hoping!!!... Hurry up Trey!!!!  :-\

Princess was the one on the tower for a very long time ... looks like Ivy is the one popping in and out of the nestbox.  And what is he doing in that box you ask?  Making one yo-honking size scrape in the back undercover.  Its a very excellent scrape I must say.  Surprised though, this is the boy who wouldn't use the nestboxes provided in West Winnipeg, nice gravel and everything, but come downtown and whiz-bang, he figures out what the gravel is for  ::)  Dope.

So what do I think will happen, looks at this point like Princess and Ivy are going to give it a shot, but its early days and Trey did turn up this time in 2009.  Technically we could wait another month without problems (we've done it before) but I'm not sure the peregrines will wait.

Now before everyone gets depressed, while Dennis and I were visiting with Jules after we visited with Princess & Ivy, we notice a dozen raptors working their way north and northwest over us in a 5 minute period.  Who knows, its a quiet, not cold, virtually windless (for birds) day and its ahead of rainy weather.  We'll just have to wait and watch.  Long weekends are usually good for somekind of excitement I've found - Victoria Day for hatchings, July 4th for bandings or sometimes even fledgings ...
