Pitch dark in the box, but dramatic and fast moving clouds outside.  Must be storming a fair bit.

A little birdie (named eagle) phoned to tell me we have a hatch!
Thanks Eagle, and thanks TPC, for having a video already.
Won't it be fun tomorrow to see how many fluffies we have, and to watch our pro Princess in action, with the first timer Ivy learning fast!

What ever you thing best TPC. I'm not prone to superstition, but will leave it be.

Shall I delve into that?? Might be surprised what I can dig up ;D

Thanks but lets leave it until we know the chicks are going to survive to banding ... a bit like superstitions related to human pregnancies ...

We have some lightning and thunder going on right now, but no rain downtown yet.

Hmmmm,   maybe a theme for this years chicks??

There are alot of peregrines in the record called Lightning, Storm, Thunder, etc ... might take alot of extra work to find 3 names for each chick for a contest that meet the criteria ....

To me it looks like a broken egg to the right of her chin. I could be wrong.
That's what I thought too. :-\

early to bed, early to rise,
is good for phanatics and their eyes!
Okay now, I've got to get back to my school work, so I can get to bed and then be up bright and early to share the "eggciting" news with my Kinderchicklets! They are going to be so excited! ;D

Keep in mind that the chick has a big (relatively speaking) body and then a head that it can't keep upright.  It will lie flat or be tucked over an egg and Princess' breast feathers will be keeping the chick warm while it dries out - especially important as it is cool and damp out right now.
