May 30th.  And it goes on and on. Will this rain ever stop? Not only do we post on Day 1, Day 2 Day three etc. about the chicks, we are at Day 1, Day 2, no, we are at Day 3 of this  incessant rain. Let's hope that when we get daybreak, we actually get sunrise. We and the Royal Radisson family deserve a break. Now who is being negative? Sorry, I always get this way over continious inclement weather.  ::)

Raining hard here in BC too.
It certainly makes me glad to think of our chicks snug under their Mama, who is dry under a roof this year!

Come out to St; Albert, Alberta. we are in the midst of a snow storm. Glad we have a nest box also.

Started as rain and now snow. (Just so you would would feel a little bit better about your rain)

don't worry, Princess wouldn't leave one of her chicks out in the open in such weather

Getting very dark here in St. Vital and some big gusts blew the eggshells over to a startled Princess...
I've been looking at that too, but I think it's the shell that Susha mentioned.  I hope!! :-\

Okay!  Enough already!  Stop raining!!  The babies need to eat >:( >:(

Ballywing, earlier, a gust of wind blew the eggshells across the nest to Princess - that white bit is an eggshell, I believe.

Princess is a talking a bit in the nest. Maybe she is telling the chicks it is okay that it is raining out. They are  under her, they have nothing to worry about. Or else she is telling them she can't feed em yet because it is raining.

Torrents and torrents of rain.  I'm feeling so bad for the other babies out there that we don't see and actually feeling the emotion again from the loss of TLC.  So, so thankful for the nestbox.

I saw Ivy come as well, Moonstar.  Figured Princess was saying "A shift change isn't a good idea right now!!"  Poor guy, I hope he's staying dry somewhere... :( :( :(

there was a feeding late afternoon, sorry I didn't note the time, but all the chicks were in on the action :)

Thanks for the update, good to know.  I don't imagine they'll be eating none to soon until the rain stops.

You are right Susha, we are all thinking how happy  :) we are that they are in the nest box and not the nest ledge.  This weather has been just horrible.
It is very dark in Fort Garry right now.
Back to the falcons.  A few minute ago Ivy landed on the edge of the box . You could see Princess just yapping at him.  He sat there awhile and then left.  I am assuming it is Princess on the chicks because you can't see them.  They are under her being kept warm and dry.
CTV new just said there is a weather watch for us again.
Maybe Ivy will be back soon with supper for the family.

Sure thankful Princess and Ivy chose the West Nest this year.  This mornings rain would have swamped everything on the ledge and perhaps washed them all overboard.  That rain was really something.  Wild outside right now also...........sure glad the "chick pile" is safe ! ;D ;D

As I look out my window at the clouds blowing around, the wind shaking the trees like mad, I wonder how many other moms like our brave Princess are hunkered down on their nests, waiting out the storm and keeping their babes warm and safe.  Nature never ceases to amaze and inspire me.

I also think that we'd all be so worried right now if the royal family was on the ledge.  I know we keep saying it, but we all keep thinking it!

Woaw!!  I'll say!  Getting very dark here in St. Vital and some big gusts blew the eggshells over to a startled Princess...chicks look safe and sound.  Feels like we're in for some more storming!
