Radisson - 2010 / Ivy & Princess

A feeding going on right now.

Princess squawked on the ledge and right after Ivy flew in with delivery express. She grabbed it out of his claws and the chicks came scooting over.

...They aren't babies anymore, sniff...

They do grow up so fast! I guess they are almost "teenagers" now, moka!

I can't believe they are already starting to grow in those dark feathers. They aren't babies anymore, sniff. They seem to grow a lot every day, certainly, very well fed chicks.

Ooooo! Just saw a little one aim a "poop shot" at the ceiling of the nestbox! My first "poop shot" observation of the season!

We do see Princess feeding the chicks this year, Stormy. But she seems to have allowed Ivy to feed them more than she allowed Trey to, I think.

I haven't been able to watch these guys this year, but, lately, I haven't seen Princess feeding the chicks.  Has she relagated this task to Ivy?  Cause, he's usually the one I see feeding them.  Unless, Princess does day shifts, and Ivy is doing evening?

Ivy brought in something fairly small.  One of the chicks grabbed it from him, Ivy gave them a "Whatever, okay" look and went to sit on the ledge.  

A couple of the chicks seem to be trying to eat the snack but it's hard to see how well they are doing as the other two chicks closest to the camera are blocking the view.

Some food must have been brought in. I missed it. But right now it looks like a couple are self feeding.  Oh they are just so cut.

5:00 Chick pile in the corner. Three chicks fast asleep with the fourth awake and looking around. He/she went back to sleep for a bit but was up again and seems a bit restless.

5:20 Ivy (I think) arrived and suddenly we have 4 chicks wide awake. Dad went over to do say good morning to the kids and then back to sit on the edge of the nest.

5:45 - no sign of breakfast - chicks have gone back to sleep

It's cloudy 15 now with a high of 19, cloudy and only 30% chance of rain.

No parental silhouette at this time.  The chickpile has the occasional minor readjustment, but all looks settled for the night.
It is wonderful to see them past midnight.

Forget nap time, someone just showed up with food!

Today I saw somebody around noon -- probably IVY - above the Radisson - just HANGING THERE!! - Like a helium balloon , not gliding, not moving - it was really cool!!!!   - THEN he STREAKED downward and made a beeline for something on the other side of Portage - I lost him behind another building but I assume some sort of 'Snack' was over there - WOW it was really something to see - first the STATUE in the air, then the TURBO-JET DIVE BOMBER -

Did anyone else see that?? Came right up to the camera, stuck his butt up in the air... and pooped.... haha

I think, that our little Radisson Royal was expressing how he felt about TPC's suggestion that soccer might be more popular than Peregrines!
