1606 hrs (local) - White is wingercising on the very edge of the nestledge by the camera ... very nervewracking .... wish he'd wait until tomorrow as the winds are suppose to drop overnight ...

TPC, all of us in the forum share your feelings. As they say in the airline industry, prepare for departure, fasten your seatbelts and make sure your seats are an upright position. I think all of us are in an upright position awaiting takeoff. Your 2010 chicks are preparing for takeoff. Your phanatic co-pilots (forum) have their radars up and running. Thank you so very much for another wonderful (Radisson Royal) year. GCG :-*

The 3 in the box all run to parent...and red scores the meal and drags it over to camera corner.

I see two in the nest box and one on the edge GCG, guess Mr. White is still on the ledge.

I think I see one on the ledge, one on the edge and possibly one resting. Am not certain. Do any of you see four? ???

1507 hrs (local) - three chicks still in the box, no one on the edge.  White is on the ledge right in front of the LedgeCam, looks like he's mostly out of the wind.

??? I am so frightened about missing out when they fledge, I find myself neglecting things at home. I am starting to serve my family meals that I have made in advance. Believe me, everbody thinks it was just made. LOL! However, two males, one female, guess who has to do the dishes? Wish I had someone like Ivy and Princess, human, of course, to help serve the meals.
My thanks to the Peregrine Falcon Recovery Project, CBC Manitoba, Shaw Cable and the Radisson Hotel, who hosted our Radisson Royals, collectively, for yet, another educating year. GCG  :-*

1425 hrs (local) - Yellow has joined Red on the box edge next to the ledge.  White is still down at the far end, and because I can't see him on either the SkyCam or the LedgeCam, he looks to be lying down below the LedgeCam and is out of the wind & sun.  Green is inside the box in the far corner playing with something.

Bccs has been out on the street for the last 10-15 minutes and can see White on the ledge and Red on the box edge ... winds are lighter on the ground than up high so maybe White will hang on until later today or early tomorrow before taking the leap ....

Sorry, Yellow is in the box looking out, Green is inside napping ...

Tracey, I love the names you come up with for the birds! How do you decide what names we vote for? I think these birds seem to pair off but at the same time I also notice two that stick together more often I just can't tell them apart very well

They are all very attached to one another, going through the video, they all hang out with each other pretty evenly.  When one does something new however, they all seem to take an extraordinary interest in that sib and the activity.  Took White jumping down on the ledge to get the first of the females up on the box edge, the males (White & Yellow) have been doing it for days but White needed to wander off to get Red to try ...

1351 hrs (local) - White has gone a wandering down the ledge again ... Red is still on the edge watching him.  He's tucked up at the camera at the far end, getting out of the wind from what I can see ...

1340 hrs (local) - first of our females, Red, is up on the box edge!!  She's preening and visiting with White.  She's quite attached to him = yesterday she was nibbling on his toes when he was sitting on the nestbox.  And she does tend to come and "play" with him when he's on his own.

Are 4 the max number of chicks that a peregrine has?

No, a couple of pairs have raised up to 6 chicks successfully, but 4 is considered the average highest number of eggs in a nest - more than that is rare.  One of our females (Winnie in Omaha) was a 2 or 3 time 6-egger.
