Commentaries throughout the day were posted to let those unable to see the Royals know how things were progressing today. I mean no disrespect, Kinderchick, TF, critical time. We thought you would want to have updates of today.
Oh no, gcg, no disrespect taken at all.  :-* On the contrary, I thought the commentaries were quite comical, with the red, green, white and yellow names. :D I'm sure that's what The Friesens were thinking, as well. :) I do appreciate all of your updates! :-* And I can't wait to be able to call them by their real names also! 8)

Right now I see two on the ledge, two just below. Me, I have only been able to post the number of chicks, for me sadly, I look at the chicks, too excited to look at the talons. With my respect to my fellow forums, GCG

All 4 chicks accounted for... 2 on the ledge, 2 in the nestbox, just inside the ledge. :)

:-* Make no mistake, bccs, you will NOT be alone. A group hug will be there.   GCG

i sat on portage and watched the nest for a bit between 4:00 - 5:00 or so.

I saw someone go from the one end of the ledge back to the nest, i'm guessing it's Mr White?  I also could see some wing flapping but no clue to who was doing that.

Meanwhile, one of the adults was flying high doing circles for the longest time.  lots sight of him/her after while though.  Nice to watch .. just gliding .. no wing flapping at all.

By Monday morning, we'll have real names for the chicks ... perhaps even before all have fledged ...

1659 hrs (local) - Ivy just turned up in the box without food for the chicks which they were unimpressed with ...

Thanks for corroborating what I thought I saw, TPC.
That's the closest I've come to seeing a big adventure live, or at least live on cam!

1653 hrs (local) - White is back in the box.  Yellow wouldn't move from the spot beside the ledge, so White hopped diagonally from the ledge, using his wings up onto the corner of the nestbox.  Fortunately the winds were cooperating and he didn't inadvertently fledge .... one more lesson learned ... one I hope they don't practice too much until the winds are under 20km/hr!!!

Hey, I think white just flew/hopped back on the edge, and is now wingersizing!

Red just hopped down into the box to inspect the corner by the lens, then head over to green in the far corner.  Even yellow has hopped back into the box.  Trust that white is lying low on the ledge, it is looking breezy in the box.
Yellow is now back up on the edge nearest to where White is on the ledge.
