There is a ledge to the left - it is quite possible that the other brother and the missing girl are over there. Looks like the remaining girl is getting ready to join them. Unfortunately, we can't see onto the ledge right now, but Tracy can.

Is there any roof around the nest box?  Because the wind caught her by surprise.

Dad came back briefly as he was accosted by his two teenage daughters. Looked like he had enough of the complaints and left.

The girls sat in the left corner of the box for a moment.  Then one when on edge and was wingersizing and then it looked like she lost her balance and was gone!  Is she over on the ledge or did she fledge??

  One jumped onto the ledge, wingercised and looke like it lost its balance. Gone. And one chick stands looking and is asking, "Where did they go"? Update needed, TPC. Please!

Looks like Dad brought a snack and then left with it.  The two in the nest were yelling at him and trying to take it from him, but he wasn't letting go.

While watching one wingercising, another chick took flight. OMG.   I think it was Red! Could be wrong.

White may be the only fledge today, Yellow doesn't seem too  interested at the moment, and chances are, he will be less interested as the day goes along (generally that is the case).  The girls most certainly won't go today, they have more muscle and coordination to build.  If one of the girls - it would be Red as Green hasn't even been wingercizing much yet - does go today, if she ends up low or on the ground, she's definitely going to get checked out, fledging too young often results in soft tissue injuries - pulled muscles and the like, which for a bird is a big thing if one intends to fly ...

Thanks for the update, TPC. We thought this would be the day. Brother and sisters sitting at the ledge watching what is taking place. I am hoping for a successful Independence Day fledge for all the Royals. We'll certainly miss our daily cam watch. Awaiting the latest update. GCG

Goodmorning and thank you for the update I thought I seen one of them take off this morning when I came on but still half asleep I was not sure.  I am happy he is allright and there are watchers keeping an eye on him.

0715 hrs (local) - Bccs, Des & Dennis report first fledge.  White tried to make it to one of the parents sitting on the "B" of the Manitoba Hydro sign (on, of course, the new Manitoba Hydro building) but didn't quite have enough lift ... came fluttering down and safely landed on a lower building.  The FledgeWatch Gang is currently keeping an eye on him from a nearby parkade.  He looks uninjured but he does have work to do (which he has started at last report) to get himself up higher.  We aren't interfering at this stage as he has a series of low (<4 ft) hops that he can use to work himself up .... we'll see how he does .... and yes, the parents know where he is ...

2 chicks sitting on the ledge, 1 chick just inside the nestbox. Can't see the 4th chick right now. Heading downtown shortly, to join bccs, des and susha.
