Sounds like the Kinderchicklets are getting lots of practice watching wildlife upclose.  That's wonderful!  When the Radisson peregrines come home (and we hope it will be Princess and Trey again!) you all will be experts and will be able to help us out by watching the adult and baby peregrines on the webcam!

Way to go Kinderchicklets!  ;D

2010 - Kinderchicklets / A Very Special Bunny Visit
« Reply #1 on: March 22, 2010, 21:19 »
While waiting for the return of Princess and Trey, the Kinderchicklets were priviledged to have a visit from two very special bunnies... "Sammy" and "Dewey"!  :D A great big THANK YOU to "bccs" for bringing her bunnies to our Kindergarten classroom early this morning, before heading back downtown, in search of Princess and Trey, our resident Peregrine Falcons!  :D It is always such a wonderful educational experience for young children to have the opportunity to interact with a variety of live animals. :D The Kinderchicklets sat in a circle on the carpet in their classroom, while "Sammy" the bunny hopped around, wiggling her nose and washing her face. "Dewey", on the other hand, was rather shy and preferred the security of his box. And of course, the highlight was when the 'Chicklets actually got to pat the bunnies!  ;D "bccs", very graciously and enthusiastically answered all of our questions, from "Are they boys or girls?" (one of each) to "What do they like to eat?" (carrots, broccoli, brussel sprouts, alfalfa). But the best question of all came when one of the Kinderchicklets asked "bccs" if they were the Easter Bunny's Assistants, to which she responded with a resounding, "Of course!" She then proceeded to explain to the 'Chicklets, just exactly how her two bunnies assisted the Easter Bunny with all of his/her deliveries. So THANK YOU to "bccs" and bunnies "Sammy" and "Dewey" for bringing the excitement of Spring into our classroom today. Hopefully it should tide us over until the return of Princess and Trey! ;D
