Will be nice to see a few pairs nesting in Winnipeg again

It would indeed ... I'm pretty sure Tot will be the only chick I band in Manitoba.  We have a couple of other nests with chicks but they aren't accessible, so unless someone goes down (which I would prefer they didn't) then just the one chick in Manitoba and two distant cousins banded in SK.  Quiet year in one way, but not in others!   Crazy thing is that if Ella and Pip had successfully hatched/raised all four of their eggs on the nestledge, I'd might well of not had ANY chicks to hatch in Manitoba!

Oh, wow.
Any eggs .
Wonder where Pip and Ella are

Haven't been on the roof since we ID'd them but given that Gertrude is only just a year (404 days old as of today) so too young to breed under most circumstances.  Looking at the her, she is still very brown so still young AND we don't see them at the nestbox, they are always perching elsewhere on the building - and for hours - no taking off to hunt and bring food home - and there is lots of food that gets blown off the building - with chicks, prey doesn't last long enough to get blown off.  Based on all these observations, I'm comfortable saying they aren't nesting.

They both have favourite spots - have only once seen them together which I thought could be a good sign for next year when she is old enough to nest.

I will be checking the box sometime soon, does mean going out on the roof and I really don't want to disturb them before I have to.  Would be nice to see this site occupied again and I don't know how these two will respond to someone going out on "their" roof.  So playing it by ear and hopefully I can visit when one or both of them are off causing chaos somewhere.

I've driven by more often in recent weeks and almost every time I'll see at least one bird. A couple of times, two, with the smaller on the northwest corner and the larger (female?) on the east logo. Brings a smile every time.

On Wednesday, my husband and I were out and about after work and noticed two peregrines at this site. One was on the NW corner the other on the NE corner. ;D

I would love to see this site occupied again. It certainly would be great if Pip and Ella decided to stay here for the season. How long has it been since this nest was occupied TPC?

Given that Ella has nested here in the past (and was initially unwilling to let Hart bring a lady friend home after she moved downtown), we (I) have been keeping an eye on this site too.
Also the Logan site as that is where Pip hatched and Ella has visited there in the spring/fall in past years.
Fingers crossed!

Haven't had any luck myself here so I'm glad someone has seen something - even if it is one of birds from downtown or even a bird just passing through. This site has been such a good home for the peregrines that I hate seeing it empty.

The plan is to install a trail cam here to see if anyone visits.
Our cam system is getting an upgrade end of this nesting season but if a pair does take up residence here then this site will get its upgrade early.

Thx for keeping an eye on this site Cooper - look forward to hearing about any future sightings!

Just a fyi
Twice this month, I've driven by this location to see one peregrine sitting up top. Once on the north east corner and once on the logo eastside. No idea if it was the same bird both times or if he/she/ they were just passing through or plan to stay, but these were the only times I've driven past this location this spring. It made me happy to see them though.
