Post by: GCG on December 21, 2015, 05:07
I don't recall ever hearing about this in the past. I thought I would share this from CBC site.

I had never heard about this Winnipeg group before, gcg.  Thanks for bringing it to our attention.  I will be sure to watch for the date next year.  It sounds like a fun Sunday outing.  Of course, if it is -30, I might have to rethink that.

The Christmas Bird Count has been going on for years ... when Madame was still in town (so 1990s) that was my lone contribution to the count  :D

Just last weekend (pre-Christmas) the Winter Bird Count folks met at OHM had a lunch at the Centre and presented their results.  So for those of you looking to continue honing your birding skills over the winter, there are lots of opportunities!!  I'll post them on the Birding Events board ...
