Last night and this morning I had an osprey in my yard, so of course this morning I was busy Googling. Found this osprey cam. The site indicates that Oscar and Ethel are the usual residents but that they haven't been seen yet this year. This morning I did hear that two osprey had been spotted in the nest. No word yet on whether it is Oscar and/or Ethel. But, I'll be watching. :)

WOW! An Osprey in your yard! Lucky, lucky you, Cooper! And thanks for the Osprey link. I just checked it and there was an Osprey standing on the edge of the nest, then it took flight a few minutes later. So, they are definitely around! :D

Both birds have been in the nest for the last half hour, doing some major nest renovations and serious relationship building. They don't seem to mind the rain at all.
