Title: Saker Falcon - NE Bulgaria

I found this on BCAW.  The Saker pair have five eggs, hatching is expected mid-April.   :)

On bottom right of cam the words "Fészek közeli kép" translated is "Nest in close-up"

I caught both of them there last evening, I think its the male on the girder and the female chupping at him.

The two Saker chicks have fledged.  The power company posted a video of their progress and has english captioning in the video.

Very interesting.  This falcon looks very much like a PF, especially when small.  I have to say that I'm glad that the PF parents don't use the technique of bringing a live bird to the nest before the kids fledge :P

The Saker falcons have four eggs this year and I think they will be hatching by the end of the week.  :)

Looks like they had only one chick survive this season and it's almost ready to fledge.

Wow! That's a big fledgling! :o I love the 3rd photo, RCF! It's as if he/she is saying "Who you lookin' at?! LOL!
