sorry I have not posted here. all is going well. there is jsut one chick. I was hoping they would put another. Still time a I think I forgot to tell you that only 2 of the eggs were viable and they were hoping both would hatch.  Hatching is down this year.  today the youngster was left alone  for first time.but this is one great set of parents.

Finally got a good look at the nestbox and was able to spend some time watching here this afternoon, and there is only one chick.  No chance now, I would think, for any of the other eggs to hatch.  The parents are both very devoted to Genesee Junior, both coming into the nest box and fussing about, while he/she was making it very clear that it was starving to death and would have a temper tantrum if things did not start to look up.

Looked to me like there were two chicks under Ms. Genesee.  Perhaps someone else will have an opportunity to check and see whether this is wrong or right.
