bcbird:
I saw several of these scenes today, Bev, and your comments are so apt!
That shot of Mom feeding our Miss is lovely, and suggests a tenderness that might not be evident in streaming video. I agree about the calmness of the refreshing cam.
bev.:
we are having a storm and my computer should be off but I wanted to post to you. Mom fed her well tonight and I think it is a process she will just learn. Probably if there were siblings it might go faster but... I also have a picture of her pulling on a wing. I think she might take the odd bit. I f we had live stream we would see better but I like the calmness of this. I always take tons of shots.
close your eyes
this is so heavy
hey mom , I am over here
thats better
look at my feathers
what part I am supposed to take
She is growing up
bcbird:
Probably Mom is close by. There have been quite a few nights where there isn't an adult perched close until it's quite dark. Being a bcbird I can easily check up past midnight Edmonton time to make sure she finally has a parent close!
carly:
Getting dark out and still no sign of mom or dad. I expect mom should show up soon, I don't expect they'd leave her alone in the dark would they? I mean in case an owl shows up or something?
carly:
You may be onto something with the sibling thing, she's pretty well fed so there isn't much incentive for her to do it herself...I remember the GRE chicks and their food fights.. ;D ;D
