"The male does come and relieve her.  He was just in from about 19:58 - to about 21:49. I was hoping to catch her out.

A few pictures

Isn't she inside most of the time, sitting on the babes?

WE had a first time mom last year also and she was very tender with her chick
I was wondering if she would even let it fledge.  I t was heartfelt to watch. that is why I was upset to know she died around the site .

I will post more photos later tonight . I am also observing an eagle nest at Delta B.C.

I went down to the site last night and was disappointed as I always see at least one of them. I have not quite figured out where Edmonton RAdisson hangs out. I knew the others but becasue it was late in the season already when she took over the nest box I do not know if she has a specific spot yet. when I got home the male was in the box and so I know why he was not on his roost. I would love to see where she stores her pry.

Totally!  It will be so great to watch her.  And know who her parents are -- our P&T!

Radisson may be even more absolutely wonderful to watch next year, with more babes!  And that crown, to remind us of who her mum is... Lovely!
Pretty tough not to get a bit sentimental, eh?

I'm glad you said that, because I hadn't actually thought of it myself.  But I can see it, now that you mention it.  Radisson may be even more absolutely wonderful to watch next year, with more babes!  And that crown, to remind us of who her mum is... Lovely!

You know, with just stills of this mother feeding her chick rather than streaming, I can't help getting the sense of great tenderness.  Everything seems so extra precious, perhaps because I know it is a first time mom, and there is only the one chick.

Too sweet...it's doubtful the other egg is going to hatch but it sure acts as a nice cushion for the chick.   :)
