I asked them to post that on the site. I figured maybe there were a few people from Edmonton that watch the cam and would like to help.

Peter made posters with a picture of a juvenile to put around the campus  and we gave one to the construction workers below the nest box. and I am making a few bookmarks with a falcon picture on them to give to volunteers.

I thought it might have been your idea . . .

Great idea also about the posters. That could be really helpful in case someone finds a fledgling on the ground. Fingers crossed for safe fledging for all four of these beautiful chicks.

thanks for all the good wishes.
Every time I see one step on the rim I wonder if I should go out the door. ;D ;D ;D

The chicks have changed so much since I last saw them before the weekend.

Bev, I think you will do a great job with the fledge watch. I was happy to see the notice on the site asking for volunteers.

I love the expression:

I am going to start it on Monday, that will be day 37 .

I am nervous to be following 4. I have some volunteers and so we sill see how it goes. I will be having a meeting Thursday night, and a man from one of the raptor centres will try and teach Peter how to handle the falcons if one comes to the ground and I have Eli and a lady form Red Deer that knows how to handle Raptors.
so Hopefully we can cover it. I also have a few other volunteers
Hope all goes well with the fledge watch Bev....Maybe you should teach them the waddlestompfaceplant as the falcon's should recognize that.  Okay...maybe not.  They will just continue to look at us like we're weird lookin'!

Bev, one of the boys was perched on the ledge about 15 minutes ago but he jumped back into the box.  They all seemed to be dazzled by something in the sky...probably a parent flying by.

I notice they have the call out for fledge watchers on the web site as well...see what you've started ...a revolution  ;)  I hope people volunteer to help you out!

Sounds like a promising start Bev, we will all be there with you in spirit!  Here's hoping for a safe and successful fledging season for Radisson's brood  ;)

I'm so glad you caught a shot of the edge perch, Bev.
When are you figuring fledge watch will start?
