Ellie:
Any updates for the ones hungry to hear how the fledge is going? Hopefully the three fledglings you are trying to keep track of are doing well with this new thing........flying!! Keep up the good work and lots of luck to all of you.
carly:
Thanks for the update Eli, you guys are all doing a fantastic job! And most definitely watchers do save lives during fledge time, you are the unsung heroes of the day! That is great that CBC came by, I will check their site to see if anything is posted!
Good luck today and hope all goes well with our little fledglings :-*
Elaine L:
I am so glad that Peter and Bev were there both yesterday afternoon and this morning - they saved the lives of these chicks, that is for sure; by the time I got there for my shift last night at 7:00 p.m., all the action was over. CBC was there interviewing Bev and one of our other watchers. Peter and I stayed while Bev went home after her long day there, but everything was quiet with our chicks: Froona in the nestbox, one chick sitting right next to the camera, and it looked like he was looking through the lens, one perched on the ledge, and one farther back on the building, on the side.
Now, again all this excitement this morning, and another rescue; I am so glad the chick was not injured. While the boys are all active, I don't think Froona will leave the nest box for another couple of days - we should all have an exciting weekend!
