Thanks for the update on everyone's whereabouts, Lorac!
Poor big Froona. I wonder if some of her dejection is lack of food?
lorac:
Hello everyone. I'd planned to post hours earlier (I promised Bev I would). Bob and I swung by CSB after work. For anyone familiar with Edmonton, I'm sure that you'll understand, as we do, that certainly crossing the river and going over to the University is the most direct route between downtown Edmonton (where we work) and St. Albert (where we live). NOT. But, we had to see and couldn't wait for our shift tomorrow evening.
When we left at 5:35 p.m. MDT, Lady Froona was sitting, looking forlorne and dejected, as if saying "How the heck did I get my big old self here?". She was sitting in the square contraption -- the one with the floor. At times, she'd go to the back of it and wouldn't be visible from where we sat.
Her brothers, on the other hand, were having a nice time on the roof of the Mazankowski (Heart) building. The parents were strategically placed so that they could see all the kids. Dad was perched on the top of an apartment building that's just across and a little north of the Mazankowski where he'd be able to watch the boys, and Mom was perched on top of an antennae on top of College Plaza (or the one next to it) having a completely unobstructed view of the nest box, and Ms. Froona on CSB.
I'm looking forward to the next reports. :D

Thanks for the updates everyone!
Thank you Bev, Mr. Bev (Peter), Eli, Carly and Lorac..
This is exciting news about Froona, Mr. Red and Mr. Yellow......I'm sorry that there has been no word on Mr. White. As everyone says (to try to keep us human positive), no news is good news. We can only wait and see about Mr. White. Let's not lose faith on him yet folks, you never know where he may be.
Great news about Froona....fly girl, fly!!!!!

Another ditto.
You said it very well, Carly.
Congratulations, Bev, on raising the awareness of this site, even if it feels like you are a bit of a victim of your own success!

--- Quote from: carly on July 27, 2009, 16:26 ---Poor Bev, I remember last year how frustrated she was that there was no awareness of the falcons and their plight and we all encouraged her to go out there and start something Lol..now she's a star and has to turn away interviews!! She deserves all the recognition for all the hard work she has done, she has put her heart and soul into this site and the falcons...Cheers and thank you!
