birdcamfan:
Great news. Hope you can all get some rest soon.

BirdLover:
Oh, that is so good to hear.  Thank you so much for the update, lorac.  Interesting how mum herded everyone to a safe location.

Saoirse:
Much too much drama, Lorac -- but your report was really welcome. It's so good to know that all of the chicks, Froona in particular given her last reported situation, are well and safe!

lorac:
Good news!

I've just heard from Bev:

Bev and Peter arrived at the University at 5:30 this morning.  Froona was fine.  She had been able to lift off and was doing her best to achieve a nice high flight.  However, her brothers misunderstood her intent and thought she wanted to play, so they kept trying to play tag with her -- forcing her to fly low.  Anyway, all went well for a while and she ended up back on the Mazankowski.  HOWEVER ...

After things went well for a while, and just before the rain, there was an intruder!  Bev thinks it was a juvenile from somewhere who was chasing our adult male.  While this drama was unfolding, mom got all the kids over to Newton Place.  All is well now, though.  Our Lady Froona is safely on top of Newton Place -- where she can fly on and off with relative ease -- and Bev has accounted for three juveniles and two adults.

The drama!!

lorac:
It's raining here in Edmonton right now, with a chance of thundershowers later, so I'm really hoping that she's soared again by now and is somewhere cozy with her brothers.  Bob and I won't be able to be there for another four hours (after work), so I'm hoping someone can update in the meantime.  It's a worry, for sure.
