What is that fluff from?  Reminds me of dog hair after brushing.

What a sad 'house' this is... some random piles of fluff, a few tiny twigs, and not much else.. depressing, but again, they are trying so hard to hang on to it, its hard to begrudge them the spot.

I don't know much about Ravens but I was thinking the same thing, as they're only bringing in fluff and she's spending alot of time sitting in the box -I too am wondering if an egg is imminent.  I guess we're about to find out.

I guess we all knew this site wasn't going to be easy this year, just never would have thought we'd be factoring in ravens as well....Bev will have to write a book about this nest site some day  ;)

They have been back and forth all day, frantically building up their pile of fluff, and the female has been trying to make her nest as comfortable as possible, considering the lack of sticks for a real nest.  I believe she is ready to lay eggs, and they do not have time to again build up the nest to their specifications.  I don't know what will happen next, but none of this bodes well for the ravens or the peregrines.

Both ravens paying a visit, the female, I think, is still in the nestbox.

325 posts about the ravens in 12 days.  Yup, only 12 days since the cams in Edmonton came "on" and George & Weezie were first observed.

Did a little checking for you all, egg-laying dates range from mid-Feb and late May so while most are laid in March/April, George & Weezie appear to have sufficient time to relocate and procreate.

...Sigh.....They're obviously not going to go anywhere else no matter how many times their nest gets wrecked. I don't know how this is ever going to end well, but here's hoping for a miracle!  :-\

Just more fluff in the nest at this time and a few twigs.

When I first started getting interested in all this, it never occurred to me that there would be so much upset involved.  ::) - oh well, once a Phanatic always a Phantic -  I guess we're stuck for the long haul now.  :P

Yes it would be sad but remember it would be nature doing what is it suppose to do. We humans have screwed up nature so much that just trying to get the Peregrines back to acceptable numbers is the least we can do.  Time will tell what happens at this nest site.

Ditto.  If she now lays eggs and the falcons come in ...well, gees it's going to be a tragic mess.
