I hope that their spirit hasn't been crushed. I think they are very "worried" that the same thing is going to happen again.

Well Ravens are very intelligent so they've probably figured out it's a waste of time and effort and/or she might be ready to lay her eggs and not have enough energy to focus on two things right now?! She's spending alot of time sitting today compared to the last few weeks.
