FALCON flyby at the nestbox :o
maggieblue:
Just caught up on the reports, many thanks Bev and Eli. Really good news that both falcons are back ;D
Hopefully they can harrass the ravens enough that they will move on. I see that camera 2 has cleared up this morning so that we can tell what is going on in the nestbox. Weezie seems to have glued herself there :(
carly:
8:20 AM EST: Weezie in the box sitting tight...can't see if there are eggs under at all as she's not budging yet. No sign of Radisson or dad as of yet, no George yet either.
Cam 2 has cleared up this morning so you can see in the box.
Elaine L:
One thing again I forgot to mention before with all the drama at the nest site is that the female raven was very clever tonight, as she knew the falcon was close by watching her, so she flew only very short distances to get to where she needs to go (in this case, back to the nest), and very close to the buildings, and she places herself in small areas, and the falcons cannot attack her easily under these circumstances.
I would be able to concentrate on how wonderful it is to have our falcons back if it wasn't for this awful situation.
Bev: I hadn't planned on going down to the nest site tonight, as I live quite far away from the University of Alberta (it takes me at least 25 minutes to get there by car); but I just had to see what was happening, so I did not have time to notify you of my intentions. I will try and make it down there tomorrow as I am very worried about the whole situation. It will have to be after Easter dinner.
Liz:
Peter has a great sense of humour! I look forward to his wit all summer, bev. Happy Easter to you, too. :) :)
