Don't apologize Bev. Your frustration is understandable. You have a lot of passion and it just seems to come out. (Better than having it burn a hole in you stomach). It's hard enough from here to not get upset about what's been happening. I can't imagine how hard it is for you to actually be there watching. Nature has a way of sorting things out. This has been a bit unnatural but the situation seems to be heading towards the original intent of the Peregrines nesting in the box. If the Ravens are still getting it on, they will probably find a new nest site where their instinct tells them it's safe.

I can't believe these ravens...they are stubborn to say the least!

They haven't been there all day and then they show up at the end of the evening?  I'm not sure what that's all about but as we know, they are really pushing their luck.

No need to apologize for anything Bev...it is very frustrating!  We're all hoping for something positive and then WHAM, this happens.  There are no words!

I guess tomorrow will be another day of bird drama.

Someone on another site said that if the egg was removed  she would lay another.

Well I will be there to watch for my falcons tomorrow.  I know everyone is glad the 2 ravens are O.K but they are pushing their luck now and I hope the falcons do not move on. There does not seem to be an indication of that  so far.

Excuse my language  in an above post. I went back to change it and cannot. Well it is not a really bad word but one I would rather not use here. :-[ :-[

They dont' seem to be around much at all the last 2 days, I think it's just the egg ...don't expect a bird can move an egg.  I expect if the falcons came in and removed the egg, that would be the end of it?

Thanks for the update, Bev. (I sent you a pm, as well).  I am delighted and relieved if the ravens have indeed moved to a new site; and not only that, but obviously were not too stressed to mate again!  The main thing is that they were alive and well when you saw them earlier, and my only regret is that if they have indeed moved on, we have no way to know where, and there is really no way for us to find out.  Although, I think I would recognize Big George if I saw him again!

I would say the falcons just came back to their perches.   And  that is why the  female came in. She appeared to be vocal.

I was hoping that they would move n, but ...

So as I said I cannot worry anymore.  I jsut hope a  falcon does not get hurt in the process,

If I sound harsh, it is becasue I am frustrated.

Well I feel better...my hope was for them to be around the nestbox this morning and have George escort Weezie out for one last time.  Perhaps that has happened  ;D

Thanks Bev for your hard work and dedication...pat on the back to your husband as well for being so understanding!  Tonight..you should have a relaxing evening, have a wonderful long bath, dinner, glass (or two) of wine and get a great night's sleep.

I hope this drama is over and everything will be peaceful in the Edmonton skies for our famous foursome  :D

Thanks Bev, let's hope that is what they've done - if so this could be good news.  Glad they are both alive and together...I will keep watch while my movie is on until dark to see if they come back but this morning they were not in the box in the morning first thing.  They came later and together.  I will also check first thing in the morning to see if they come by.  Let's hope they move to the nest in the tree.. ;)

It is.  The clock is off again, because it's 18:48 here, not 17:48.

Just a note here. I am confused because my time here is the same time as I posted on the site. I thought Manitoba was ahead of Alberta???
