Wells Fargo Plaza (formerly known as Norwest Financial Center) is located in suburban Bloomington, Minnesota.  It is a 24-storey office tower connected to the 3-story plaza building through an open atrium linkway.  This iconic landmark encompasses nearly 17 manicured acres.  The tower provides unobstructed view of the surrounding landscape, including the Minneapolis and St. Paul skylines and the Minnesota River Valley.  State-of-the-art, interactive directories provide current weather, traffic conditions, building announcements and a dedicated Peregrine Falcon nest web cam in each lobby that films their activity on the building roof.

Commerce Tower
Kansas City, Missouri

(photos - building from Wikipedia, nesttray from Alison/CMNH)

Commerce Tower is a 30-story Skyscraper located in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri, USA. Constructed in 1965, it is the ninth tallest habitable structure in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, and since the completion of the City Hall, it was the first locally designed Skyscraper in Kansas City. The facade is constructed of pre-cast stone and glass, (known as a "curtain-wall") creating a unique look, especially for its time.  The last 15-foot beam was signed by 18,000 people including Harry S Truman.  The building is expected to change ownership in 2013 and be redeveloped into a $71 million mix of office, residential, and educational uses -- due, in part, to construction of the Kansas City Downtown Streetcar right outside the building's main entrance.

Whittier Hotel
Detroit, Michigan

(photos:  building from Wikipedia, birds/nest from Peregrine Foundation website)

The Whittier (also known as the Whittier Apartments) is a partially renovated high rise residential complex and former hotel located at 415 Burns Drive in Detroit, Michigan, on the Detroit River. The Whittier was constructed as an apartment hotel, meaning that tenants could rent an apartment, yet have access to services typically provided by a hotel.[2] The Whittier was built at a time when the population boom in Detroit increased demand for housing.[2] The developer selected a site near the Detroit River, in an area that was, until then, primarily used for exclusive upper-class homes.[2] Construction began in 1921, and ran until 1927.  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
