Baffled:
Hmm, well I looked in this morning that saw that the egg was broken on one end, but not under the mother.

Then I looked back just now after a few hours, and the egg has disappeared with two chicks visible. So I guess it wasn't viable.

Baffled:
I haven't checked in on these two for a while . . . happy to see two healthy chicks.

Have the parents decided that egg is non-viable, since it's not under cover?
